ART IN A CORNER
Inspired by Images of a Woman, the only known painting ever made by The Beatles.
PledgeMusic is pleased to announce the launch of Art In A Corner, a project organised by social enterprise Eazl in support of two of the UK’s leading arts and music charities.
Art In A Corner is inspired by Images of a Woman, the only known painting ever made by The Beatles, painted in Japan in 1966.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Images of a Woman, Eazl has invited some of the world’s biggest bands and solo-artists to follow in The Beatles’ footsteps to create their own Images of… paintings.
Other items available include the official project album – Man in a Corner.
The Art In A Corner paintings will go on display in a series of exhibitions around the UK, starting in September 2016. Featured artwork will include backstage photos of The Beatles’ 1966 tour of Japan, by renowned British photographer Robert Whitaker.
Money raised from Art In A Corner will support the work of Children & the Arts and Youth Music.
